Stunning Chest of Drawers by André Sornay, Art Déco, France, circa 1932

About the Item

Rare veneer varnished chest of drawers by André Sornay (1902-2000). Black lacquered wood base and handles with gilded brass nailing. Six drawers. Trace of signature on the base. André Sornay is one of the most famous cabinet maker of the Art Deco period. He was based in Lyon, France. He patented his famous and highly recognizable gilded brass nailing.
