An unusual pair of early 20th century walnut serpentine commodes, each of with two short drawers above a brushing slide and three long drawers, decorated with burr-walnut panels within bead and reel borders, carved with acanthus leaves on the feet and blind fretwork on the canted corners, original gilt bronze handles. English, c1920.
