About the Item

This single door walnut corner cabinet comes from England. We recently imported it to our Atlanta, GA antique furniture store. Today, it remains a gorgeous piece of furniture ready to go in a beautiful home! Crafted in a stunning selection of burled walnut wood, this corner cupboard exudes elegance. Also, the glass door’s fretwork, thick rounded moldings, adds to this look. A simple molding on the top and strong bracket feet add subtle shape. Finally, a fine hand rubbed finish gives this walnut corner cabinet a rich and warm feel. Inside the top door rest two removable wooden shelves. An additional wooden shelf resides inside the bottom cabinet. Both doors lock and a single key works both easily. This cabinet dates back to about the year 1960. An English craftsman did a stupendous job creating such a gorgeous corner piece. The piece sits a little taller than most this size. This extra height really makes the piece special! Also, individual panes of glass make up the door. This is a much better quality door than one of a single pane of glass. The overall condition of this piece remains quite good. Over the years, a few minor dings or marks have occurred. One is located on the door, top right corner. The cornice has some minor indents and the left back corner some finish wear. The back of the left foot has a repair and both feet have moderate wear marks. None of these marks detract from the piece. It remains sturdy and strong.
