1954 George Nakashima Studio Triple Sliding Door Cabinet / Credenza Black Walnut

About the Item

Listed for sale is a gorgeous 1954 George Nakashima Studio triple sliding door cabinet /credenza in American black walnut. This is an early piece, representing a number of refined early and recognizable details. This piece has the characteristic corner dovetail joints, white oak drawers within, figured black walnut doors, and subtle pulls. The piece is accompanied with provenance from the original owner (a copy of the original order card) and a letter issued by Mira Nakashima. This is a substantial and special work, at a scale that is scarce to come by. The piece measures 89 inches wide by 20 inches deep and 36.75 inches tall.
