Sideboard in cherry and pear wood, country style, early 19th century
This piece of furniture is the result of a beautiful woodworking work, made by a passionate.
It opens on the one hand by two doors then revealing a shelf and on the other hand by two drawers.
It can be used to store heavy stacks of dishes. This piece of furniture offers considerable space saving since in addition to the dishes, the drawers can be used to store cutlery sets. The drawers are mounted dovetail ensuring perfect strength. This is how they can be opened daily and contain many objects. They slide perfectly.
The entrances are made of richly worked scrap, finely chiseled and very beautiful. The lock and key are in very good working order. The drawers open with buttons also in scrap metal.
The upper and lower sleepers are inlaid with stars made from precious wood.
This organcase rests on « doe » feet at the front and two straight feet at the back.
The back of the sideboard has solid wood panels so very resistant.
Decorative objects can be placed on the tray.
It is a piece of furniture of character.
The interior of the furniture has been cleaned so that the objects are stored in a very healthy and odorless environment.
The buffet was once a symbol of social status. Robust and functional, it was reserved for reception rooms.
This exceptional example will harmonize with the most popular contemporary interiors such as farm houses, cottages, industrial houses, country houses.
