An elegant chest of drawers in parchment, ivory (now replaced with faux ivory) and gold lacquer 1935 Similar model presented at the salon of decorative artists 1935 Examples of this commode can be seen in numerous books on Andre Arbus but not limited to - "Andre Arbus: Architecte-decorateur des annees 40". By Yvonne Brunhammer, Marie-Laure Perrin, Yves Gastou - same model "Les Décorateurs des Années 40" by Bruno Foucart & Jean-Louis Gaillemin - same model "Arbus / Aller / Faure / Soutiras... Decourateurs Toulousains (1890-1970)" Sophie Vinel - similar model Original ivory handles are held in France but not sold with piece.
