Unusual 1st Empire desk, circa 1810, in mahogany, Burl, with Brass inlay and blackened columns ending on 2 blackened lion's feet above gilded leaves . Center drawer pulls out to reveal hinged writing surface with fitted drawer. All above a curved recessed knee space with pair of panel doors with storage space. Unusual piece can be used as a console or a desk
