Antique George II Style Burl Walnut Slant Top Desk
About the Item
Antique George II style burl walnut and walnut slant top desk, late 19th century. With a burled walnut top, burled walnut slant top with herringbone inlay, when the slant top is opened there is a leather writing surface a long central drawer flanked by two vertical drawers on each side, above are letter slots, below are two burled walnut top drawers and 3 graduated burled walnut lower drawers, all exterior drawers with herringbone inlay, with walnut sides, resting on bracket feet. Excellent quality burled walnut, hand dove tailed drawer construction, the secondary wood is quarter sawn oak.
