French 19th Century Marquetry Bureau de Dame

About the Item

A fine quality 19th Century Louis XV style Marquetry inlaid bureau de dame, having wonderfully detailed scenes to the drawer fronts and cylinder, the sides and reverse having foliate decoration surrounding urns and musical instruments. A three quarter brass gallery to the top, fine ormolu mounts, inset leather writing surface that pulls out when the cylinder is opened. Raised on elegant cabriole legs that terminate with ormolu feet.
