French 19th Century Tulipwood Parquetry Desk, Attributed to Linke

About the Item

A superb French 19th century tulipwood parquetry desk, attributed to Linke. This very attractive kidney-shaped desk is raised on tapered fluted legs with ormolu sabots and top caps and finely chased foliate ormolu mounts above. The impressive parquetry frieze has three drawers with ormolu borders, a central ormolu mount, and pulls. The design is repeatedl around the sides and back. All below a gilt tooled leather top fitted within a tulipwood border.
