About the Item
An extraordinary example from Tommi Parzinger.
In 1951 Tommi Parzinger established a relationship with Hofstatter and Sons.
Hofstatter manufactured furniture and had a branch devoted to interior design.
The armoire (1 of 2 manufactured) was a commission for Cielito Lindo, the Woolworth Family home in Palm Beach.
The two armoires were made for the Woolworth Daughters bedrooms.
The Cabinet has 14 interior drawers (stamped numbers 15-28) in original Robins' Egg Blue .
The cabinet (stamped 2) has had the White Lacquer finish re-surfaced.
The studs and the hardware are are Gold Vermeil.
We purchased one of the Armoires 20 years ago from the Heirs.
The second Armoire surfaced locally this year.
A similar example is in the collection of the Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum.
