French Art Déco Bar in Macassar, Parchment, Brass Hardware, Signed Paris 1940s

French art deco bar in macassar, parchment, brass hardware, signed Paris 1940s Elegant and decorative bar furniture from Paris of the 1940s is crafted in solid sycomore wood and veneered with macassar and parchment leather. The shape is linear on top the furniture is stepped and small saber legs perfectly complement the delicate body. The macassar veneer impresses with its quality the leather veneered front is decorated by means of a geometric design in gold embossing, brass key plates and 1 beautiful key in brass perfectly complement the gold decor. In the lower part there is a shelf above there are 2 glass shelves. A plaque with the name of the manufacturing company and the reference to the address 2 Place de Aligere, Paris underlines the quality of the object. The surface of the wood has been newly varnished in high gloss, the leather in silk matte, which creates an additional tension.

This bar cabinet was produced in Italy, in the late 1930s and is a really unique and special piece. It was produced most likely in 1939 in Mariano Comense which is a small village near Milan by the artist Giuseppe Anzani.
