Vintage Louis XIV Style Counter ~ Bar

About the Item

Vintage Louis XIV style Counter ~ Bar is perfect for efficient entertaining! Hand-crafted from solid oak, it features carved detail on the front panels which would appear to be doors at first glance, however access is entirely from the rear, which is fully open and fitted with a lower surface and two adjustable shelves. Carved embellishments include stylized shells, flowers, scrollwork and acanthus plumes. The apron design was influenced by Chippendale styles, with a convex form and undulating contour adorned with an inverted shell with foliate flourish at the center, and scrolled and carved legs with talon & ball feet. Circa mid-1900s Measures 44.5 H x 51 W x 16 D.
