High quality teak art deco secretaire by Gerson’s furniture store, Bangkok 1930s

About the Item

Solid high quality teak art deco secretaire by Gerson’s furniture store, produced in Bangkok, 1930s. Beautiful marquetry and all-in solid wood. When the deks opens there is another beautiful storage room with a wood inlayed door, this doo can be opened with a hidden slide that is incorporated in the left shelf. Als the doors at the bottom of the cabinet has a hidden slide at the bottom of the cabinet to open. A lock is hidden behind the ying/yang lock plate at the top. The plate and handles of the drawers are made of bone. The cabinet is marked with “Gerson’s furniture store, Bangkok, Siam”. Dimensions: 140cm w, 136cmh, 37cm d, 80cm d when the lid is down.
