About the Item
A most elegant and unique pair of Italian 19th century Napoleon III period giltwood étagères with their original mirror plates. Each display shelves or book shelves are raised by richly carved topie shaped feet with Fine foliate designs and carved rosettes. Each support displays a striking concave shape decorated with beaded, foliate and fluted patterns with an impressive final above. Each of the three shelves are upholstered in a red velours with their original mirror plate backgrounds. All original gilt throughout. Easily reupholstered for any color, taste or fabric.
