About the Item
Richard Watson wall-mounted bookshelves are designed to appear as though they are floating on the wall. They are mounted with a minimal cleat system that conceals any mounting hardware, allowing the form of the shelves to be uninterrupted. The sculptural divides are made from select boards that have intricate grain patterns and markings, making each divide unique.
Each Richard Watson piece is made in Pawtucket, RI by a team of men and women who are passionate about their craft. The pieces are constructed using select domestic hardwoods and traditional joinery and hand finished with natural oils, lacquers and wax.
This shelving is customizable from 5' - 10' wide, and 2 shelves - any amount high.
Available in walnut, white oak, and bleached ash.

Richard Watson
Brooke Richard and Laura Watson founded Richard Watson, a small design studio in Brookline, MA dedicated to fine craftsmanship in wood and metal. Richard Watson’s design principles are defined by warmth, authenticity, and a balance of strength and delicacy. Their work is created with meticulous attention to detail, with each board hand selected in order to highlight the beautiful character and grain patterns found in their hardwoods. The feel and experience of each piece is also carefully considered - the smooth glide of a drawer, the relation to others around a table, the way the back of a pull feels. Each Piece is made in Pawtucket, RI by a team of men and women who are passionate about their craft. A strong connection and proximity to their workshop allow design and construction to continually inform each other. The pieces are constructed using select domestic hardwoods and traditional joinery and hand finished with natural oils, lacquers and wax. Their solid bronze hardware is cast locally and finished in their studio in Brookline, MA. The soul of each Richard Watson piece is in these handcrafted details.
