A rare Italian Venetian 18th century, Renaissance style four-shelved gilt-wood carved étagère book or display stand. The bowed front shelves, each surmounted with "S" scrolled carved supports and topped with four dome shaped finials, circa 1780, Venice.

A beautiful and rare Étagère Stand in mostly original condition with some gilt touch-ups, gilt losses, minor repairs and in-filling. Due to its age and use, some of the red under-gilt primer is exposed. See all images.
