19th Century George III Serpentine Huntboard

About the Item

Inlaid mahogany George III serpentine front huntboard with two drawers fitted for flatware with silver cloth. Detailed with Conch shell and banded inlay on squared tapered legs ending in spade feet. Burn marks on top, split on either side of conch detail extending from drawers and sun bleaching appropriate with age and use. Provenance: From the Estate of a Prominent Baltimore Family.

    Repaired: Burn marks on top, split on either side of conch detail extending from drawers and sun bleaching appropriate with age and use. A few pieces of molding missing. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses.
