George III Bow-front Sideboard in Mahogany, England c. 1800
About the Item
The body composed of four sliding drawers (and a fifth false drawer) in a symmetical arrangement, each with moulded borders and brass fixtures. The left side with a hinged door concealing a small cupboard. The top with a string-inlaid border and cross-banded edge, surrounding an expansive surface in figured Mahogany.
The piece with arched central apron, and supported by six tapering square legs, each ending in block spade feet.
