Maison Regain High Sideboard in Solid Elm, France, 1970s

About the Item

This impressive high sideboard was produced by Maison Regain in France in the late 1970s. The sideboard is made in solid elmwood and has a double door on the left with two beautifully crafted, sculptural handles. A convenient flap style opening and three drawers on the left side. The wooden connections on the top, the very solid construction and the attractive grain of the elm wood complete the striking design. The piece is in very good original condition and stamped on the inside. The founder of Maison Regain previously worked as the carpenter of Pierre Chapo. Maison Regain was known for the high level of craftsmanship and the quality of the woodwork, as also demonstrated in this piece.
