Midcentury Brass and Glass Dry Bar Credenzas Sideboards, 1950
About the Item
The body is very square and linear but its appearance is of a luxurious sideboards, due to the realization with precious materials such as brass and glass.
The structure of the sideboard is made of wood, this has been covered with small and fine half-round brass rods, glued and nailed with small brass nails. The wooden top has been polished with super fine black shellac, as well as the two front frames that form the front doors, to which two glasses have been inserted with a particular "Rigatino" process. In the upper front part there are two brass keys that allow the doors to open. Internally, well finished, a wooden shelf has been placed with an acid-etched mirror resting on it. The part under the doors opens, allowing better access to the interior of the sideboard. The linearity of the sideboard almost reaches the ground but not entirely, in fact it is raised from the ground by two large cylinder-shaped legs inserted in an orthogonal direction to its front. Maximum capacity for a great size.
Very important piece carefully restored by our atelier in Rome. This item has no defects, but it may show slight traces of use. For each piece, before the departure, a revision is redone, to make sure it arrives in excellent condition.
