About the Item
Art Deco Cabinet in Oak, Sweden, 1940s.
Very distinct Art Deco cabinet with glass sliding doors, well executed in oak, oak veneer and oak burl veneer. It origins from Sweden, 1940s.
This cabinet shows a modernistic and symmetrical yet quintessentially Art Deco design, with beautifully rounded corners and wonderful execution. Top, sides and drawers are made out of graphical oak and the two doors are beautifully bookmatched in oak burl. And look at those wonderfully designed feet.
Please also notice the subtle brass key holes, the quality of the veneers and the execution of the drawers with dovetail wood joints. This cabinet was made by a skilled Swedish cabinetmaker.
Both original keys are marked with a large ‘S’ from Sweden. Comes in a good vintage condition with a minor chip in one of the glass doors and some minor marks and veneer damages - which can be restored if requested.
