Early 20th Century Antique Edwardian Walnut and Marquetry Pier Cabinet
About the Item
Circa 1910 antique Edwardian, marquetry inlaid, figured walnut pier cabinet. The rectangular top in figured walnut, with moulded edges above a marquetry inlaid frieze with exotic woods. The glazed door with intricate marquetry inlay and satinwood and boxwood crossbanding, opens to a shelved interior with red velvet lining. This is flanked by marquetry inlaid pilasters all on a neat, moulded and shaped base. Early 20th Century walnut and marquetry pier cabinet, having a nice figured stepped and moulded edge top above a marquetry inlaid frieze with decorative inlay, a single glazed door below opening to reveal one fixed, removable glass shelf, standing on a shaped plinth base.
