About the Item

An exquisite, hand made, antique early 19th century French provincial, hand carved elm and stunning burled wood armoire with stunning original wrought iron fitch hinges, escutcheons, locks with keys and original pulls. The centuries old wood is unattainable today and absolutely has a gorgeous old patina. There is a shelf with a iron hanging rod directly under it. All resting on French feet above which is a drawer with gorgeous original iron escutcheon, lock and key. Just the original iron hardware on this piece is art in and of itself. Any room you would decide to place this piece, it would certainly be a stunning centerpiece, and so very useful and practical too, as it would be a tremendous amount of storage.
