Antique French Louis XV Style Armoire in Cherrywood w Chevron or "fougère Panels

About the Item

A very beautiful Louis XV style armoire in light cherry wood featuring chevron panels on the doors or "fougère," the French word which means "fern" to describe the pattern. Armoire is embellished with an arched bonnet, two curved doors with curvilinear panels, rounded thin half-columns that span the length along the front corners & bonnet, carved scalloped apron & escargot feet. It has the original steel hinges & key escutcheon plates, and comes with three interior shelves that are not photographed, working lock & one key. France, circa 1820. Measures: 51" wide x 24" deep x 92" high ; Inside depth is 20", perfect for hanging clothes! Note: You should always request a shipping quote.
