About the Item
This elegant French armoire dates to the mid- to late-18th century and is a timeless example of French Provincial and Louis XV styles. The large wardrobe has a Classic form, with short cabriole legs, straight sides decorated with inset panels, and an arched top surmounted by a tiered cornice. The two-door front is decorated with sloping cartouche panels framed with beaded edging and accented by elegant brass hinges and scrolled keyhole escutcheons.
