Pine Two Door Bonnet Top Armoire
About the Item
The arched front frieze of this handsome armoire, with its three rows of vertical reeds is original but the bold crown molding has been replaced. Each door has a long flat pine panel beneath a square panel comprising three panes of beveled glass. The doors open almost 180 degrees on brass front-mounted hinges. The deep hand-cut dovetailed drawer has two rows of horizontal reeding, above a plain bracket foot. The interior retains its original hardwood sawtooth track, so adjustable shelves could be retrofitted.
