20th Century French Louis XVI Walnut Champagne Table, Rafraichissoir, Server
About the Item
This mid twentieth century Louis XVI style walnut side table features a marble top surrounded by a bronze gallery. Two removable zinc buckets that rest in the marble top serve to chill wine or champagne. A lower shelf and single dovetailed drawer provide display and storage space. The tapered square legs are finished with bronze sabots to complete the look. Called a "rafraichissoir" in French, this unique table will bring elegance and sophisticated style to a living room or bar area. c. 1950.
