The William Kent Apollo Pedestal

About the Item

A very fine parcel gilt and faux porphyry decorated pedestal after a design by William Kent in 1735. The pedestal is very close in design and scale of documented pieces by Kent and also Henry Flitcroft. However, in our opinion we feel the pedestal is by Kent himself, given that there is a very similar pedestal in the board room at the treasury in Westminster. Bespoke finishing available.
