Swedish Writing Table or Side Table, 18th Century
About the Item
Beautiful 18th century Swedish Rococo two-drawer writing or side table with a finely carved shaped skirt and cabriole legs. The unusual form of the top makes this table a true eye-catcher. Originally ebanized, the table now displays an old waxed and richly patinated surface. The brasses are replacements--appropriate brasses are on order.

This table was most probably originally ebonized, Now, its old surface has been partially brought down to an old unpainted waxed wood surface which displays a beautiful rich natural patina, as shown in photos.
