Acerbis Napoleone Coffee Table by Claudio Salocchi
About the Item
At the 15th Milan Triennale in 1973, Claudio Salocchi launched the Napoleone family of tables, coffee tables and display units, an extremely synthetic interpretation of geometries combined with materials that were anything but usual for traditional home furnishings at that time. The fascinating effects of reflections and transparencies allows those sitting down to see their own image, with interesting ‘introspective’ implications. The current re-edition respects the original design and keeps its aesthetic appearance unchanged in two coffee tables from the Napoleone system enhanced by distinctive polyester lacquering.
Top
The top is made of 10 mm thick extra-clear tempered glass fixed to the structure with Ø12 mm bumpers.
Structure
Bridge structure in satin-finish AISI304 stainless steel sheet that binds the two side panels and holds the two facing mirrors.
The base is made of medium-density fibreboard, always with glossy lacquer in black, white, SW white, linen, sand, clay, burgundy, pink, dark green, mustard yellow, brick red, or navy blue. Matching skirting. Natural silver-plated mirrors fitted inside the steel frame.

- Acerbis Free System Sofa by Claudio SalocchiBy Claudio Salocchi, AcerbisLocated in Brooklyn, NYIn 1973, Claudio Salocchi designed Free System: a system of padded furniture deriving from the concept of “operated flooring”, or tatami, where the padded units could be placed freely side by side. With its completely modular and sectional elements and from the perspective of an optimal use of space, we can view Free System as the embodiment of the modern house utopia. A programme of padded furniture that goes beyond the sofa model, Free System presents a series of elements (tatami, pouf and seat with different and interchangeable backrests) that make up a modular system that can be arranged in a variety of combinations. Available elements _ seat module with curved backrest: L100 D100 H74, seat H39 cm; _ seat module with inclined backrest: L100 D100 H74, seat H39 cm; _ pouf module...Category

- Acerbis Large Moodboard Coffee Table in White Marble & Dark Stained Walnut TopBy Acerbis, Massimo MarianiLocated in Brooklyn, NYA system of small tables with a top made by freely combining different contrasting materials: wood, marble, shiny metals, giving life to a mosaic of materials differing by type, color nuances, texture and thickness. Rectangular or square, the tables can also be freely combined with each other to form large coffee tables with an ever-changing material and graphic effect. A polished metal tray, the thickness of which is designed to match perfectly with the different thicknesses of the table tops, can be added as a valet or utility tray. Dark matte grey painted support structure and feet. Table shipped disassembled. Finishes: - Wood tops, thickness 30 mm, Swamp Oak or Swamp Ash - Marble tops, thickness 15 mm, white arabesque or grey graphite, matte finish - Tray, thickness 15 mm, in polished steel or brass (*) Swamp oak and Swamp ash Special veneer identified as a ''fossil'' since obtained from trunks found below ground, where they have been preserved under layers of clay for hundreds of years. The anaerobic environment inhibited the growth of microorganisms preventing the inexorable process of slow decay. On the contrary, over time the internal elements are transformed and others have been added: the mineral salts are combined with those present in the wood matrix, slowly transforming the organic state. This long natural process, which cannot be replicated, gives the wood a unique, precious appearance, with surprising colors and textures. The aging of the wood can also cause the formation of cracks and splits which are puttied and repaired but not eliminated during processing, because they are the signs of time that provide evidence of the great age and uniqueess of the material. Born in Florence, Massimo Mariani lives and works in London. He studied architecture with Giancarlo De Carlo at the University of Genoa. After graduation he joined Renzo Piano Building Workshop in Genoa and later Herman Hertzberger...Category

- Terraliquida Low Table, by Claudio Silvestrin for Glas Italia in StockBy Claudio Silvestrin, Glas ItaliaLocated in Macherio, ITTerraliquida low table is shown here in the transparent extralight glasss. Low table composed of a parallelepiped Limestone stone with a monolithic appearance and an element in tempered 15 mm. thick glued 45° transparent extralight glass that rests on it. The stone parallelepiped has the sides in a split-face finish, whereas the top is flamed. The materiality, the gravity and the solidity of the stone juxtapose the lightness, the purity and the ethereality of the glass. Born in 1954, Claudio Silvestrin studied under A. G. Fronzoni in Milan and at the Architectural Association in London. His integrity, clarity of mind, inventiveness and concern for details is reflected in his architecture: austere but not extreme, contemporary yet timeless, calming but not ascetic, strong but not intimidating, elegant but not ostentatious, simple but not soulless. Claudio Silvestrin Architects was established in 1989 with offices in London, and since 2006 in Milan also. The work of the practice encompasses real estate developments, newly built houses, spas, private residences, art galleries and museums, domestic and retail interiors and furniture design. Clients include Giorgio Armani, illycaffé, Anish Kapoor, Calvin Klein, Poltrona Frau, Victoria Miro...Category
