Chinese Qing Dynasty Period Brown Lacquered Coffee Table with Original Finish

About the Item

An Chinese Qing Dynasty period low coffee table from the 19th century with original rubbed patina and six drawers. Created in China during the Qing Dynasty (1636–1912), this low table, which could nowadays be used as a coffee table (the Chinese didn't used coffee tables per se in the 19th century), features a rectangular top with nicely weathered patina, sitting above a simple apron. Three drawers on each side for a total of six, are fitted with brass ring pulls on floral backplates. The side posts are carved with delicate motifs and the sides are divided into panels evoking the drawers' presence. The ensemble is raised on an elegant base with four straight legs and horse hoof extremities. The table is covered with its original dark brown rubbed lacquer with great distressing. With its clean lines and six drawers design, this Chinese Qing Dynasty period coffee table from the 19th century will make for a great addition to any living room or covered patio!
