Cube 01.1 is a side table inspired by Sol LeWitt’s Incomplete open cubes, an art collection demonstrating 122 possibilities to construct an unfinished cube. Sol LeWitt was a famous American conceptual artist and founding father of minimalism as an art form. Throughout his career LeWitt moved many people with his modest yet fantastic works of art. This source of inspiration led to the design of cube 01. The combination of both natural and Industrial materials gives cube 01 its powerful edginess. Whether or not the total maximum of 8 pieces is produced and commercialised is at barh’s discretion only, just as the when and how.
