Hand Painted Chinese Export Trunk with European Landscape Scenes, 19th Century

About the Item

An unusual and larger size Chinese Export leather trunk with beautifully hand painted European pastoral scenes in the Barbizon style, painted on all sides and top. The art work most likely added in the mid-late 19th century, the trunk is slightly older circa 1830s-1860s.
