Low Chinese Square Table with Ridged Sides, c. 1900

About the Item

This early 20th century elmwood square table from China's Shanxi province features a floating panel top and an apron composed of pillar-shaped struts. Ridged carvings known as "incense stick" run along the side of the table top and apron, continuing down the legs to provide a sense of unifying movement. Additional Dimensions: Table Apron to Floor: 13".
