Masterpiece Coffee Table by Rude Osolnik
About the Item
Previously the property of the Osolnik family. 41.5" diameter and 18" tall.
An important artist, who seldom produced furniture. This example by Osolnik is representative of the finest work produced by American Craftsmen of the 20th century. An an abstract painters palette top supported by elegant supports. An image is included showing the piece being worked on at his Studio. Solid cherry slabs have been assembled and then sculpted with a raised lip to the edge that flutes as it approaches the cut-away section forming a biomorphic shape. A flawless execution and entirely unique which was kept in pristine condition by the family. Images show staging with lounge chairs and other works by Mr. Osolnik.
