Michel Dufet modernist ashwood coffee table 1930

About the Item

This beautiful coffee table made in solid oak with ashwood veneer is sure to add an element of French modernism to any living room. It was designed and produced by Michel Dufet in France in the early 1930s. It features a large slick ashwood varnished top resting on four solid brutalist feet with carved geometrical details. This coffee table is a wonderful example of the French Art Déco and Modernism of the 1930s and 1940s. It has been fully restored, ashwood revarnished, and is in a beautiful condition. A very rare table that can be placed as a standout in your living room. Literature : Florence Camard, Michel Dufet : Architecte Decorateur, 1988, page 140.
