Pair of Travertine and Iron Coffee Tables, France, 1950
About the Item
Presumably unique - Pair of square wrought iron coffee tables with travertine tops. Originally these come from a set of six that were used in the lobby of a hotel in Paris. We have already sold four, this is our last pair.
Each table comes with a beautiful travertine top enclosed in the iron structure. The tables can be used indoor/outdoor.
On each sides of the tables there are two medallions in terracotta depicting an angelic scene - a winged angel with a small child bearing a torch.
There is flexibility in how the tables are arranged - one can use the tables separately as two side tables, two coffee tables or make a combination of the pair for a longer single table.
Each table measures 19" height x 24" width x 24" depth.
Placed together, they measure 19" height x 48" width x 24" depth
Provenance: Hotel Lobby in Paris, France.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Minor fading. The travertine tops are in excellent condition and have been recently polished. Some degrees of patina and oxidation on metal. Terra-cotta medaillons in very good condition, not broken.
