Rare 1930s Art Deco Art Moderne Black Chrome Coffee Table Attr Wolfgang Hoffmann

About the Item

Rare Art Deco or Art Moderne black and chrome coffee table. Very possibly shown in the 1939 Worlds Fair. Attributed to Wolfgang Hoffmann for Howell, truly amazing design. Chromed steel heavy architectural base. Laminate or bakelite top with ribbed chrome edge, stunning. A sleek and well preserved piece of American Industrial Design. Condition: Over 50lbs, so very well made. Some light surface oxidation to base, which I will clean upon your purchase. Some light stains and normal minor wear to top. No breaks or repairs. 100% original.
