This rare and exquisitely well-crafted coffee table model U55 was designed by Helge Vestergaard Jensen and made by cabinetmaker Peder Pedersen in the 1950s. The coffee table's most eye-catching aspect is the absolutely stunning Brazilian Rosewood grain displayed throughout the piece/ The table also boasts finely sculpted Y-shaped legs linked by tapering stretchers supporting a beautifully beveled table top. Despite the delicate, graceful design, this table is sturdy and has minimal wear throughout, with only occasional light markings on top. Lightly refinished to add life to the piece without subtracting from the original beauty of the rosewood.
This is a piece for a collector. The U55 table from Helge Vestergaard Jensen is rare - - especially in rosewood. It adds immediate elegance and timeless style to any space, but it looks especially attractive in a living room or in an office/lobby.
