Substantial Factory Industrial Bellows Coffee Table
About the Item
Custom-made from a substantial factory bellows from the early-20th century and three metal legs, this amazing coffee table was designed in Belgium for a look that is unquestionably industrial. Measuring 6 1/2 feet long, the teardrop shaped bellows is constructed of hardwood with leather accordion sides secured to the upper, lower, and center boards by studded nail head trim. By pumping the bellows up and down, compressed air was rapidly force through the large metal nozzle at the nose of the bellows to the fuel, which created more heat. We love the timeworn look of the leather that attested to the grueling work of those who operated factory bellows, and we have made no attempts to repair it.
