Chinese 19th Century Elm Lacquer Alter Console Table

About the Item

Exquisite antique Chinese lacquered elm Alter table, 19th century. Richly hued in tones of wine and deep brown with great patina, this lacquered table features two deep drawers with unique, original hammered iron hardware pulls and straight, round legs. It has hand-joined, mitered mortise and tenon construction with carved spandrel corner supports. A versatile table which may be used in a variety of settings. It has a stately posture with clean lines, a finished back and a striking aged aesthetic with a rustic yet elegant presence. Table is sturdy and in good antique condition.
