Italian 18th Century Louis XVI Carved and Lacquer Wall Mounted Console Tables

Pair of Italian Louis XVI period hand carved and lacquer wood wall mounted console tables from the late 18th century with scrolled elaborately pierce-carved floral motifs. Pierced hand carvings and scalloped openwork in the form of acanthus leaves and rosettes lacquered in shades of pale blue and ocher yellow are the enchanting features of these Italian Louis XVI period wall mounted consoles with a matching colors faux marble painted top, all with a delightfully curved shape and antique original patina. These one of a kind Tuscan wall mount tables, featuring wonderful shape and great scale, are equipped with a generously deep top convenient for displaying collectibles, whilst legs are reminiscent of a delicate cabriole style, with carved foliage motif adorning them. This pair of neoclassical consoles will be a great statement piece of furniture in a living room but also very comfortable in an entrance or to furnish the hallway or mudroom with a useful yet extremely decorative piece. This attractive pair of Italian carved wood display tables must be mounted to a wall, therefore feet need not touch the floor for support, allowing for various height options depending upon your needs. These unusual wall tables come from a Tuscan villa, they were once the friezes that adorned a huge portal now turned into consoles who have lacquered ancient wooden tops to perfectly to combine perfectly with the original frieze painting thanks to the addition of antique wooden tops painted by the skilled hands of Florentine artisans in faux marble that combines perfectly with the original colors of the friezes.
