19th Century French Oak Writing Desk
About the Item
This oak desk was made in France in the 19th Century. An original concept for a standing height desk, this practical piece is designed in the elegant style of the 1800s. Lathed legs and scalloped brass drawer pulls give a formal feel, while the refinished oak makes a contemporary statement, revealing the texture of the oak and the subtle blush of the oatmeal toned wood. The angled top is inset with a black painted panel, a subtle lip protrudes from the edge to steady any loose documents. The entire surface folding up to reveal a lockable cubby, along with two secured drawers gives convenient and secure storage for your most treasured correspondence.
