Café 6116, Persian Carpet Table
About the Item
Café 6116 is an award-winning design by Atelier Ruben van Megen; a Dutch designer who designs conversation pieces. The table is inspired by and made of Persian carpets.
The table refers to the Golden Age, when Persian carpets made their appearance as table runner in Western European households. At that time, these table runners were often used as decoration in paintings by Dutch Masters such as Rembrandt van Rijn, because they were very decorative and a status symbol.
Atelier Ruben van Megen made a modern interpretation of this typical use. The design earned international recognition. The tables are sold in limited editions through design galleries in Europe and the US. A vintage Persian carpet has been incorporated into the table; each table is therefore unique.
Please note: The offered table is shown in the first two photos and has a brown/red/bordeaux color. The photos that follow give an idea of the table and ??how it can be fitted into the interior.
Other tables are made to order, in the desired dimensions and with the desired carpet (colors/patern).
The table comes with a certificate of authenticy.

Atelier Ruben van Megen develops collectible design, products and interiors that excel in craftsmanship, aesthetics and use of materials. The award-winning atelier often international presented.
