Inspired by one of mankind’s greatest achievements, the latest member of the Explorer family is crafted with space-age curves and the highest precision.
The Explorer series comes straight from Hayon’s own cosmos—his drawings—into light-hearted but elegant objects, finished in playful, beautiful glosses. For many years, Jaime Hayon has designed pieces of furniture with simple, organic forms—in anticipation of children running around their edges, also just because they are elegant and beautiful.
The latest member of the Explorer family uses the same clean curves and playful colours as its predecessors: a dining table, several side tables, and multiple vases. A family that comes in an ever-expanding range of sizes and colour combinations, a perfect addition to any living space.
Cupboards, doors and drawers in MDF. Exterior lacquered in gloss finish and interior lacquered in matte finish. Legs in solid alder wood lacquered in gloss finish. Horizontal shelves and vertical bracket supports in MDF with lacquered gloss finish. Interior drawer units in MDF with lacquered matte finish.

Since, we have developed a ton of designs and variations together divided into three large collections: Showtime, Gardenias and Explorer. The Explorer collection is the most recent. Before the forced lockdown due to the pandemic, which is still affecting us today, we presented a ‘starter’ to this new collection – a series of three side tables called Explorer 1, 2 and 3. So far, these have had comercial success. This may be because they remind one of jelly-beans, rounded sweets that children eat in the United States. “This childlike inspiration, has at the same time a very elegant beauty which generally is characterised in my designs. It’s about new shapes, different objects within the market that want to convert into emblematic pieces because these tables are not only functional but sculpturally strong”, explains Hayon. Now comes the second part. The tables have grown up, maintaining the same signs of identity these being personality, pleasantness, elegance and quality in workmanship. “The glossy finishes and different colour combinations give even more options to the collection, aiming to be blatantly decorative.
