Dramatic 1970s / Early 80s Solid Bronze Antelope Head Desk Table / Dining Table
About the Item
A Dramatic Table base seeing as either a Dining Table, Buffet Table, or Desk. Dating to the 1970s to possibly the 1980s.
Mounted at each corner are Solid Heavy Bronze Antelope heads which support a glass or top. Uncertain to the origin. Possibly Italy or France.
Dimensions of the Base
55" x 29.5" x 28.75" height (no glass thickness).
Figure adding 1 inch for glass thickness will be 29.75 height.
Looks to be about a 4" over hang all around. so adding 8" to each dimension making it table estimated at about 63" x 37.5"
Condition the bronze heads have patina which is quite nice and probably should be left as is in less one wants to polish them. The steel frame structure however has aging to the finish and would be desirable to restore in some fashion. Presently we have the table structure disassembled so the steel structure can be restored more easily. No structural issues.
