French Carved Walnut with Inlay Decor and Fleur-de-lys Trestle Dining Table
About the Item
This elegant eight foot oval walnut dining room table was crafted using antique timbers, and followed an 18th century design from the Pyrenees of France. The table sits on a trestle base, supported by a pair of hand carved "Montferrer" pedestal legs, ending with molded shoe base, and connected with a thick bottom stretcher at the bottom; each leg support is further embellished with a decorative wrought iron diamond shape mount at the bottom. The large race track shaped surface features an exquisite decor with a rectangular marquetry band, including a Classic carved French Fleur-de-Lis motif in each corner. The long and wide table is in excellent condition and adorns a rich walnut patina throughout; a wonderful breakfast table that would sit eight to ten people.
