Green Marble Dining Table in the Style of Ignazio Gardella

About the Item

A Mid-Century modern dining table featuring Green Octagonal Marble Top with Beveled Edge, and black steel trastle legs with brass feet details. In the style of Ignazio Gardella. Ignazio Gardella is an Italian architect, engineer and designer who actively participated in the creation of the modern movement in Italy. The young Gardella grew up in a family of architects, graduating in civil engineering in 1930 from the Politecnico di Milano. He has been one of the founders of Azucena in 1947 along with Luigi Caccia Dominioni and Corrado Corradi Dell’Acqua. This was the first company in Italy to produce quality design. Gardella himself designed some decorative furniture items, combining modernist aesthetics and formal elegance that also fully reflected his architectural style.

    Wear consistent with age and use. Minor wear and marks to the iron base concentrated on the legs. Patina to the brass sabots. Marble is in excellent condition. Top is not affixed to base.
