Neoclassical Extendable Dining Room Table, Germany, 19th Century

About the Item

This elegant Neoclassical Dining Room Table dates back to the mid 19th century and comes from Germany. The table features a pretty cherry veneer and has a brass band around the apron. It stands on six tapered legs with their original brass casters. The two additional legs support the pullout mechanism. The table can be pulled out to a size of 62.20 in (158 cm). It is in very good refinished condition with a shellac hand polish. The extension leaves have been replaces with a matching cherry veneer and the same shellac finish.
